    “Weekend” Warrior Alpha LX2 Max – Sr Stick Review

    As a player who grew up in the ’90s, I wasn’t sure what to make of all the new stick options. Nothing back then beat the feel of wood, and I stuck with that mentality for years. But after picking up the Warrior Alpha LX2 Max, I finally get why carbon fiber has taken over. I was talked out of my usual 85 flex P29, and instead went with a 65 flex W03 and it turned out to be the perfect call. The puck feel is fantastic, and my wristers have never been snappier. The only drawback is when it comes to loading up a full slapshot. Old-school wood still wins for raw power in the long game. But for quick release, control, and overall playability, the LX2 Max is a game-changer.

    Reliable

    So far the stick has operated as advertised. I am still adjusting to a mid kick point as opposed to a low but I do notice my shots getting off a little bit quicker. The stick is very durable and extremely light.
