The Bauer Vapor FlyLite delivers excellent shot performance with a whippy feel, quick release, and great pop that players love—but it has a critical durability problem. Multiple reviewers report shaft failures at the kick zone and blade/heel cracks within 2-4 months of moderate use, often just outside the 30-day warranty window. While some users report no issues, the failure rate is high enough that many consider it poor value despite its performance qualities.

Nice feel terrible durability
This was bought for my son. He loved the feel of the stick but broke, you guessed it, just outside of the warranty.

Fly light stick
Great stick for my bantam, we have gotten two now, just holds up nice and seems like a very well made stick with all the body checks and never looks like it has any chips out of it

Great stick
Great stick!!My son loves using it and some of his friends have the same stick

Good stick, while it lasts.
The flylite is a great stick. Nice and whippy, accurate and really lightweight. The grip is nice and the taper feels good. The fundamental problem with these sticks, apparently, is a weak spot just above the blade, right in the kick zone. Less than 4 months of moderate use and SNAP. Hyperlite was a more durable line.

Great stick
It's a nice stick, have had it since July 2025 and no problems. It's pretty pricey though.

Vapor Flylite
Vapor Flylite is a great stick, problem with the high end sticks, very expensive and tend to break easier from.slashing from opponents. Great for shootinv, scoring and slap shots.

Broke in less than 30 days
My 10 year old son insisted on buying this stick as his coach said he needed a lighter and more flexible stick to help with his shooting. We live in the mountains so there is no Pure Hockey close by to fulfill the warranty so when the stick broke at day 29 we were SOL once we contacted Pure Hockey and then made it down to the store around the 45 day mark during the next hockey tournament. This stick is fragile, not worth the price and I wouldn't recommend it based on our experience. I used some super glue to hold the thing together. Found a composite Jetspeed for a 1/3 of the price that seems to be less fragile. We will see...
