Performs as expected
Love the Nexus line, just as good as the others in this line and price point.

The Bauer Nexus E40 is a budget-friendly option that performs well for defensemen, particularly with a P28 curve, but suffers from significant durability issues. Multiple reviewers reported shaft breakage near the kick point within weeks of use, even during routine play. The stick also struggles with stickhandling due to its weight, making it poorly suited for offensive players despite being marketed as a starter stick.

Amazing budget stock for defenseman but h don’t recommend playing this as an offenseman because it’s not very good stick handling and it has mid durability but very good for defenseman especially if you get a p28 curve!
We purchased a Senior Bauer Nexus stick for my son in December and it broke near the stick kick point 35 days later while deflecting a shot on the PK in a game. We purchased a second Bauer Nexus 6 days ago, and it broke a little lower (still above the heel) last night in practice tipping a shot. My son is a 5’10”, 160lb Bantam AA who mostly takes snap shots, for reference. I do not recommend this stick due to its low durability, even though it is a popular stick at present.
It lists this stick as a "starter stick" when its everything from that, the weight is too much to bear and impossible for stick handling. Will be switching to a True 9X3
